I want to take some time away from these busy days

To tell you that I’m grateful in just so many ways

I’m thankful to you for listening and respecting who I am

Be being there to comfort me when things don’t go to plan

I am thankful you were there, to watch me as I grew

And to always make me smile, with the little things you do

I am thankful for your love, and to have you as a friend

For your gentle wisdom and the advice you always lend

I am thankful for your pride in me, your support in all my dreams

I wish there were words, to express how much it means

I am thankful there’s no obstacle that you wont help me through
